Reading and applying mission tasks, intelligence reports, and weather info. Supervising or conducting mission planning, flight plans, and crew briefings. Aircraft preflight inspections, loading, equipment assessments, and mission staffing. Operating aircraft controls and equipment. Navigation, in-flight refueling, search and rescue, surveillance, or reconnaissance procedures. Supervising crew training on mission-specific tasks. Developing plans, policies, and advising commanders. Knowledge of flight theory, navigation, meteorology, and aircraft procedures. Supporting aviation programs administratively. Experience with aviation quality control, safety programs, and compliance with regulations. Coordinating flying operations ensuring safety regulations are met. Experience with various missions like air-to-air, air-to-ground, surveillance, etc. Using aircraft instrumentation and video cameras. Planning and conducting training flights within FAA regulations. Applying directives, SOPs, and instructions from relevant military authorities. Performing aviation duties like diverting aircraft, coordinating airspace use, and emergency actions. Applying Army aviation regulations and instructional techniques. Reviewing flight publications for accuracy. Experience with weaponry and combat/non-combat tactics.
