Partner with a large federal law enforcement agency expanding on Redstone Arsenal. This position involves varying levels of daily activities in wireless networks, LANS, WANS, electronic security, forensic audio and video as well as telephone and electrical systems. It balances field and office activity working alongside construction teams in new facilities on a multi-billion dollar expansion, and executing ticket type activities to ensure continuity of operations. The role widens skillsets in network operations (physical and logical) and involves working with senior engineers to solve major agency issues and ensure 100% network uptime. Tasks include replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing electronic equipment, taking test readings with instruments like digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes, installing and maintaining complex communications/network and intrusion detection systems, audio/video equipment, surveillance devices, and other security-related equipment. Perform technical work in areas such as electronic surveillance, data network, video analysis, wireless, networking, electronic security, microwave, etc. Assist in establishing secure communication systems at command centers or SCFs. Repair equipment and perform corrective maintenance. Inspect and test equipment/systems to maintain technical integrity and propose corrective actions as needed.
