Job Description

Salary range: $36 City Experiences is seeking a Marine Engineer for our operation in San Francisco. About You: This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System. About the Opportunity: The successful Engineer will be a hands-on team member at all levels of the Engineering department's scope. Responsible for all aspects and phases of engineering projects from start to finish, including formulating hypotheses, controlling variables, designing tests, gathering data, recommending options, and completing projects. Must demonstrate leadership, remain calm under pressure, and be capable of fabricating parts and solutions independently. Checks and verifies work to ensure standards are met. This position is eligible for benefits. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Mastery of all duties & responsibilities of the Marine Mechanic position. Able to lead and perform all diesel engine repairs across the company and fleet. Recommend and install new systems and solutions. Repair and replace pilothouse electronics and vessel media systems. Serve as liaison with outside contractors to complete repairs. Rebuild and maintain pump systems, including alignment & coupling. Use industry-standard engineering tools and techniques. Design parts and systems with OEM-level craftsmanship. Manage projects effectively. Manage time efficiently. Make informed decisions. Report on projects and issues accurately. Mentor Marine Mechanics to improve knowledge and workmanship. Master Hybrid Propulsion Systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. Understand engineering needs for various departments and locations. Interpret laboratory data and report findings to management. Maintain logs and complete tasks reliably and accurately. Learn new skills as needed and seek guidance when necessary. Organize workload effectively. Keep tools and workspace clean and functional. Master pipefitting and fluid control systems. Maintain engineering systems according to best practices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications: At least 2 years of industry experience. Understanding of electrical systems and safety practices. HAZWOPER certification (40 hours). Forklift certification. CPR & First Aid certifications.
