Job Description

Assurant is looking for Licensed Insurance sales agents to join our dynamic team. As a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, assisting them with their insurance needs through the sales process. You’ll handle inbound calls for Renters Insurance, Classic Car Insurance, and other insurance products, ensuring a seamless and satisfying customer experience.

  • Our sales center operates from 8 AM to 10 PM ET on weekdays and 10 AM to 5 PM ET on Saturdays.
  • Flexibility to work any shift is required, with opportunities to earn earlier shifts through our quarterly, performance-based shift bid process.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Inbound Sales (90%) : Handle inbound calls for multiple insurance products, with no prospecting or cold calling required.
  • Outbound Follow-ups (10%) : Make outbound calls to follow up on existing quotes.
  • Customer Liaison : Build strong relationships with clients while selling Renters Insurance, Classic Car Insurance, and other products.
  • Sales Strategies : Develop and implement strategies to meet departmental monthly sales goals.
  • Performance Tracking : Monitor and track personal sales results to achieve monthly sales and key performance goals.
  • Compliance : Follow underwriting requirements and corporate policies while negotiating sales.
  • Data Management : Navigate computerized data entry systems and relevant applications for tracking, information gathering, troubleshooting, and transaction processing.
  • Ongoing Education : Complete mandatory licensure continuing education and other training sessions as needed.
  • Stay Informed : Keep up-to-date with changes that affect your work.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of sales-related experience.
  • At least one year of call center and/or insurance experience.
  • Strong computer, grammar, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to become appointed/licensed as a non-resident agent in all applicable states.

Pay Range: $15.86 – $24.59

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
